Applications are typically geared to fulfil the requirements of the majority. Often businesses will require a subset of the application which has no impact on the operation of the company, in some cases however, the business requires an application to do more or operate it a different manner to fulfil company needs. When this happens one of two effects occur, either the company employees waste valuable time because the manipulation of data becomes unnecessarily complex or worse still the company practices and procedures have to change to map to the software.
